It’s funny. Since starting this blog, before even, I meticulously note what I’m cooking, when I’m cooking. I keep notebooks on the counter, jotting down ingredients and measurements, cooking times and important notes.
Until now that is. Lately, my brain has been lacking space–that’s the only way to put it. Between working/house hunting/house selling/inspection passing and failing/packing/working/working (did I mention working?) my mind is so full of details and dollars, neighborhoods and life changes, that food seems to have taken a gigantic back seat.
I’ve cooked, a bit. Not enough, and not necessarily mindfully. I made this amazing Andouille Sausage and Barley Pea Risotto dish the other night, and honestly? I have no idea what I did. But hopefully you can piece together the photos enough to feel inspired, and create your own version of this delicious dish.
Perhaps you’ll share? Because, like I said, brain power…zilch. And for the next few weeks, maybe we can drool over some food porn together. Like they say, pictures. Much better than words.
