What a week. I’ve done things no sane Jewish girl (joking, joking) does. Shellacking shelves. Power sanding, which by the way…who needs a Shake Weight? Did I mention keg cleaning, sanitizing, and filling? It’s run the gamut of utter chaos and delight.
Yep, I officially started at Greenbush, and it’s a total whirlwind. One minute I’m stocking shelves, the next I’m haggling over FOB costs with distributors. Pretty freaking awesome. It’s hard to be bummed about working, even with the hours and stress load I’ve put in, when you’re doing something so amazingly right for you. I’m loving it.
And today might have been the best day of all. We’ve been waiting for the good news about our state liquor license, and it finally came through this afternoon. We hugged, we toasted, I almost cried and literally yelped in the ear of a senator. Awesome.
We officially open our doors (and our cash register) on Saturday at noon. If you’re one of my local readers, COME IN! Tell everyone you know, make a point to show up and be one of the first to grab a pint, a taste, a shirt, or a growler from these little hands.
I, literally, cannot wait.
